森美術館で開催された『バスキア展 メイド・イン・ジャパン』に併設されたコラボカフェの空間デザイン、ロゴデザインを担当しています。全体に共通する仕掛けとして、「色々なシーンでフォトスポットになる」ようデザインしました。ファサードにはアイキャッチとなるフォトフレームを設置。バスキア展に来場した方には関連カフェであることを明示し、それ以外の方にはバスキア展の導入となるような効果を持たせています。グラフィックではシックなブラックをベースに、油絵具やローラーの跡を想起させるテクスチャのディテールでバスキアらしさをさり気なく演出。また、カフェのロゴはバスキア展に合わせてHelveticaを使用しました。内部空間では、空間のインパクトを強めるために大サイズのタペストリーを吊り下げ、さらにカラフルなメニューが映える効果を狙い机にグラフィックシートを施しました。

I designed the space and logo for the collaboration cafe attached to "Basquiat: Made in Japan" at Mori Art Museum. We designed the café to be a "photo spot for various scenes" as a common device for the whole project. A photo frame was installed on the façade as an eye catcher. For visitors to the Basquiat exhibition, it clearly identifies the café as being related to the Basquiat exhibition, and for others, it serves as an introduction to the Basquiat exhibition. The graphics are based on a chic black color with textured details that recall the marks of oil paint and rollers, giving the cafe a subtle Basquiat feel. In addition, we used Helvetica for the café logo to match the Basquiat exhibition. In the interior, large tapestries were hung to increase the impact of the space, and graphic sheets were applied to the desks to make the colorful menu stand out.
